Useful work, with its status in view.
madegood is the wider support community we want to build. Each project has its own purpose, audience and next steps.
Digital Communities and dotClub
Our digital work helps clubs, groups and community organisations become easier to find, understand and take part in. Website design, information, practical help, training and handover belong here.
We're working towards manageable trials with community organisations. Wider uptake and local coordination depend on willing participants and agreed arrangements.
Muirkirk: a local place to start
muirkirk.info brings together local information, direct official-service routes and the plan for practical help, learning and community sessions. It's independent of the council and isn't an emergency service.
The November session programme is planned. Exact dates, access arrangements and any future fixed base will be announced when confirmed. Secure online intake and account services are still being prepared.
muirmend: local reuse and repair
muirmend is the local reuse-and-repair work in Muirkirk. Our first auction stock is being prepared for sale. A charity-shop electricals pilot is being developed alongside it, with competent assessment, clear stock records and agreed settlement arrangements.
Stock preparation is under way. Pilot agreements and operating arrangements are still being developed. Items containing lithium batteries are excluded; unknown battery chemistry must be resolved before acceptance.
Good in Store: a shopfront and wider project
Good in Store connects useful goods with the people and organisations that can help give them another life. Partner conversations cover authorised stock streams, space, logistics, community connections, skills and support.
The shop is coming soon. A wider Scottish network is an ambition to build with partners, not an operating network we can claim today.
A shared stance, with clear relationships
The work follows a practical stance also described by Everwished: start with the actual problem, build something useful, show what exists and be honest about what still needs proving.
Related work can share skills and support without becoming one organisation or a settled partnership. Roles, responsibility and working agreements need to be made clear for each project.
